Portrait –
Benoît enjoys capturing unconventional people, frozen moments and hard-to-reach elements of nature. He favours small teams and productions, in both fiction and documentary, and complements his skills with on-set work as a camera assistant or lighting technician, always striving to create the most striking image possible with the resources at hand.
Benoît began his career in the applied arts at the age of 15. He then moved into theatre, before eventually studying cinematography in London. He then moved to Paris for a year and finaly returned to Switzerland in 2018 to work as a freelancer and set up the production collective Abordage with other filmmakers from French-speaking Switzerland.
