Portrait –
Manuel Haefele, born in 1985 in Flawil SG, resides in Zurich. He completed his apprenticeship as an automation technician from 2001 to 2005. Beginning in 2007, he worked his way up from a camera assistant to a cinematographer through self-study. Concurrently, he has realized numerous fictional film projects, documentaries and commercials as a cinematographer to this day. From 2016 to 2019, he studied for a Master of Arts in Cinematography at the Zurich University of the Arts. In 2020, he completed the federal training to become a lighting designer. He currently works as a freelance cinematographer and is also studying art therapy in Zurich.
