Portrait –
I've been making images for over 30 years, which sounds impressive until you realise I started as a stage technician in Geneva because I liked the smell of dust on tungsten lamps. In 2000 I moved to Barcelona to study cinematography properly, and things escalated: light designer on Woody Allen's Vicky Cristina Barcelona, DOP on features and TV series in Spain and Switzerland, second unit DOP on shows like Quartier des Banques, and Trinity/Steadicam operator on productions from Disney+ to Ursula Meier's La Ligne.
I'm also a certified diving instructor, paraglider and mountaineer — not for the CV, but because it means I'll happily take the camera where the insurance broker starts sweating: underwater, mid-air, or halfway up a face. I'm pragmatic on set, allergic to unnecessary drama, and convinced the best light is usually the one you don't notice.
