Portrait –
Silvan Hillmann is filmmaker and cinematographer who lives in Zurich. He studied Media Art and Stage Design at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) and completed his MFA in Fine Arts at the Haute École d'Art et de Design (HEAD) in Geneva. Since 2017, Silvan Hillmann has focused on filmmaking and realized his first two feature films as DoP in collaboration with director Cyril Schäublin: “Those who are fine” (2017, CH) and “Unrest” (2022, CH), which was awarded the prize for best cinematography at the Beijing International Film Festival 2022 as well as at the Golden Awards in China and the Swiss Film Awards 2023.
