Damian Derungs is a Swiss cinematographer known for his work in collaboration with fellow Swiss filmmaker Julien M. Wagener, most notably on the 2024 feature film SEPTEMBER BABIES.
Born and raised in Switzerland. He began his creative journey as a musician playing the saxophone in various jazz and funk bands. Besides music, he trained as a competitive athlete in climbing. When an injury forced him to take a break from sports, he picked up a camera and began documenting his friends doing sports.
With the purchase of his first camera, first assignments came along and in the following 10+ years he gained experience as first camera assistant, lighting technician and director of photography.
With his production company Steepfaceproductions (https://steepfaceproductions.com) he was involved in more than 200 productions including short films that attended world renowned festivals like LA Shorts. All of this lead to him co-producing and visual directing his first feature film SEPTEMBER BABIES that was released internationally in 2025.
Building on this success he founded Frame Link, a company dedicated to excellence in visual storytelling and perfection in planning through knowledge and a uniquely advanced toolkit for future possibilities in cinema and high end commercial. These advanced tools will find their place in the next feature film that already is on the horizon. Until then he sets himself into the service for the most demanding commercial clients upholding the most rigorous of standards with a fresh eye on meticulously crafted visuals.
