This privacy policy describes cinematographers.ch ("we", "us" or "our") collects, uses and protects personal data that you provide to us through our website https://cinematographers.ch. 2.1 Videos and Live Streaming On our website, we use embedded videos from YouTube and Vimeo. 2.6 Server Location Our website is hosted on servers provided by Kreativ Media GmbH in Switzerland.
2.7 Google Services This website does not use Google services such as Google Webfonts, Google Analytics, or Google Tag Manager. However, Google Maps is used to display routes. When you access a page containing Google Maps, certain data (including your IP address and, if applicable, location data) will be transmitted to Google. Data processing is carried out by Google in accordance with their Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
2.8 Leaflet Map and Geocoding Our website uses the open-source mapping library Leaflet to display interactive maps. When you access the map view, your IP address and browser information may be transmitted to external tile providers (such as OpenStreetMap.org) for proper map rendering. In addition, we use the geocoding service Nominatim (operated by OpenStreetMap) to convert user-entered addresses into geographic coordinates. When submitting an address, your input and IP address may be transmitted to Nominatim servers. This is required to correctly place your location on the map. 2.9 Session Cookies We use a PHP session cookie (PHPSESSID) to maintain your session state while you browse our site. This session cookie is deleted automatically when you close your browser and does not store personal information beyond what is technically required.

Registration Form: Cinematographers.ch can submit their personal and professional information, images, and documents via the registration form in order to apply for inclusion in the cinematographers.ch network. The submitted data is stored in structured form (JSON files) on our server and made publicly searchable on the website only after approval by the committee. Without this approval, the entry remains hidden. The processing of your data is strictly limited to this stated purpose.
We process your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Your data will not be disclosed to third parties without your consent, unless required by law or necessary for the fulfillment of a contract. By submitting the form, you consent to the described processing of your data.
When contacting us via email: If you contact us through our contact page, you share personal data with us. We use this information for further correspondence with you.
3.4 Server Log Files Our server automatically records information that your browser transmits when you visit our website. This information includes your IP address, browser type, operating system, and the pages you accessed. This data is used for website performance analysis and error resolution.
