Portrait –
I completed a six-year program in Rome, Italy, training as a Director of Photography, camera operator and editor. As a cameraman, it’s not enough to simply focus on image and sound — patience, an understanding of people and the ability to tell stories through visuals are just as essential.
To deepen my knowledge, I enthusiastically worked on a wide range of national and international television shows and film projects. In addition to my work on the ground, I also take to the skies: with my drone pilot’s license and a selection of drones for almost any situation, I can create aerial shots that bring a unique perspective to a production.
In 2004, I founded my own video production company, Di Nunzio Film GmbH. Since then, I’ve managed film and video projects from the very first idea and consultation all the way through to the finished product — always holding myself to the highest quality standards. I work with a trusted network of professional freelancers and use state-of-the-art, high-end equipment to bring each production to life.
Work Experience –
I have built a versatile career in film and television production, working for national and international broadcasters such as SRF, 3sat, SAT.1, ProSieben, RTL, ZDF, NDR, BBC and many others. As an ENG cameraman, I have contributed to a wide range of reports, TV magazines and entertainment shows — from Schweiz Aktuell to Deutschland sucht den Superstar, from Galileo to Wetten, dass..?
Beyond television, I have worked as a DoP on documentaries, feature-length films, cinema docs, music videos and commercials. My clients include Red Bull, Migros, Coop, Swisscom, UBS, Sony and various international film production companies.
I have also directed and edited several of my own projects and bring specialist expertise in drone cinematography (licensed drone pilot).
Education –
In 1990, I completed a six-year program in Rome, Italy, specializing in cinematography, camera operation and editing.
Further Education / Workshops –
My further training includes programs with Warner Brothers in Los Angeles and Bavaria Studios in Munich, as well as professional lighting and HDTV courses.
I also give talks on topics such as “On-Camera Performance” and “Delivering Quality Under Time Pressure.”
Personal equipment –
I own a wide range of professional film equipment — from six Osmo Pocket action cameras to Sony FX3, FX6 and FX9 cinema cameras (several cameras). My kit also includes tripods, a gimbal, a portable slider, a green screen setup and RGB LED lighting. For audio, I use lavalier microphones as well as boom and shotgun mics to ensure top-quality sound in every production.
In addition, I operate drones, including a DJI Mavic 4 Pro with four batteries and a full range of accessories, as well as smaller DJI models under 250 grams — ideal for capturing footage in crowds while maintaining a safe distance.
For transport and on-location logistics, I have a large, specially equipped production vehicle, enabling me to handle even complex shoots with flexibility and efficiency.
