Portrait of Kevin Rumley, Director of Photography based in Neuchâtel, Switzerland

Portrait –

As a cinematographer and visual storyteller, I focus my lens where paths intersect: at the crossroads of cultures, social struggles, and human landscapes. For over 15 years, I have been capturing stories that resonate, blending technical excellence with a thirst for discovery. Drawing on international experience (USA, France, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium), I combine technical rigor with artistic sensitivity to bring documentary, institutional, and cinematic projects to life.

As a specialist in event coverage, socially engaged documentaries, and fiction, I have collaborated with various international production companies and television networks (Collabfeature (USA), Weltenangler (Berlin), C4 Productions (Paris), Blue Sports (Switzerland)), and several of these projects have won awards. My work as a cinematographer on projects such as “Les Voix du Salut” (2026) or the series “Grève de la faim contre les écocides” (2023) — which has won multiple awards at the Paris Film Awards, the Oregon Documentary Film Festival, and others-demonstrates my ability to translate complex issues into powerful images.

As the founder of Doc’It Yourself, a nonprofit organization, I advocate for a collaborative and accessible approach to filmmaking. Whether working with institutions, artists, or activist collectives, I dedicate my expertise to stories that challenge, move, and inspire.
